To address issues of global competition and ensure that Indian credit delivery is innovative and at the cutting edge, CAB has instituted a number of international exposure programmes on Agribusiness, Microfinance, Micro Enterprises, and Agro-processing in the Netherlands, Germany, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Brazil and South Africa. This year also, the CAB proposes to conduct such exposure programmes. Considering the vital role played by the SMEs in economic development in Asia Pacific / ASEAN region, an International Exposure Programme to Asia-Pacific /ASEAN countries on Financing SMEs in Association with Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, has been planned during the academic year. An International Exposure Programme on Agribusiness in Europe has also been scheduled, with an objective to study the agri-business enterprise in advanced countries. Further, an exposure programme for the directors and executives of the urban cooperative banks, which has been planned in Europe, aims at giving exposure on the international best practices.
